I grew up in Utah where I hiked, fished, hunted, and camped in the surrounding mountains with my family and friends. I grew to have a deep and abiding respect for the power that Nature can have in our everyday lives. I am a veteran teacher of two decades; I have a Masters in Education, and bachelors degrees in Psychology and Sociology as well as general teaching speciality in the social sciences. During my summers I am either a National Park Ranger, the assigned Naturalist on a cruise ship, or visiting far away lands with my sweetheart. But wherever I am you can count on me wearing walking shoes and be itching to get outside. I am not a fan of labels - but if you were to give me some I would accept the following: seeker, guide, maker, healer, hermit, or fool.Â
